Texas orders, near or over 100 miles

No order handy? On the kid's Add the custody order step, tap Skip, I'll pick the rules. KidNights starts from the Texas standard order and asks a few questions.

How far apart do you live?

  • 100 miles or less: the usual Texas order. Spring break and Thanksgiving switch every year, and summer is July 1 to 31 unless you pick other dates.
  • More than 100 miles: spring break goes to the weekend parent every year, summer is 42 days (July 1 to August 11 unless you pick other dates), and there are no school-night visits.

Which weekends are yours?

  • The 1st, 3rd and 5th weekends, counted by each month's Fridays.
  • Every other weekend, counted from a Friday you pick.
  • One weekend a month (over 100 miles only): pick the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th weekend.

A school night every week: pick the night, or None.

More rules has weekend pickup and drop-off times, summer weekends, Saturday visits in summer, Father's Day weekend and your summer dates. They start on the usual Texas answers.

Then mark who has each holiday. Leave one blank and it follows the schedule.

Your order's own dates always win. If yours reads differently, change the answers to match it, or use a custom schedule.
